Airxcel donates air conditioners to aid in tornado cleanup

The Recreation Vehicle Products Division of Airxcel Inc. donated five Coleman-Mach air conditioners to this Papa Johns 44-foot trailer owned by Terry Newman, the Wichita, Kansas, franchisee.This trailer is headed to Joplin, Mo., to feed first responders due to the recent devastating tornado.

The Recreation Vehicle Products Division of Airxcel Inc. donated five Coleman-Mach air conditioners to this Papa Johns 44-foot trailer owned by Terry Newman, the Wichita, Kansas, franchisee.This trailer is headed to Joplin, Mo., to feed first responders due to the recent devastating tornado.

The trailer contains refrigerators, pizza ovens, and a make line and is capable of serving more than 1,000 pizzas a day.Newman is working with the Red Cross on the timing of what could be multiple trips to Joplin.

He and Papa Johns have also assisted in Baton Rouge, La., where they served more than 5,000 pizzas to first responders and residents; and in Greensburg, Kansas, where they served more than 3,000 pizzas."Kudos to Terry and Papa Johns for their generosity and willingness to help serve and care for those who need help the most," said Steve Gokie, with Airxcel.
