Suburban and CAN Leisure Products Announce North American Partnership

Airxcel, Inc’s Suburban division and Italian cooking appliance manufacturer CAN srl announce a partnership to offer several European-styled sealed burner cooking appliances in the North American RV market. CAN has been a leading cooking and appliance supplier to European high-end marine and RV markets for more than thirty years. Suburban’s legacy of providing superior quality appliances for all types of RVs matches well with CAN’s reputation for innovative, high-end cooking appliances. 

Designed toward mid to high-end RV’s, the offering includes a 2-burner glass-top cooktop, a flush mount 2-burner elliptical drop-in cooktop with glass cover and a flush mount 2-burner rectangular drop-in cooktop with glass cover. Other products offered include a flush mount stainless steel sink and also a flush mount combination sink with a 2-burner cooker with glass cover. Future products include a built-in or portable slide out kitchen galley featuring a cooking appliance, work area and sink. These products will be assembled at Suburban’s Dayton, Tennessee manufacturing plant and will be available directly from Suburban beginning March 1, 2019.

Suburban, a Division of Airxcel, has been serving the RV Industry for over 50 years. Its lines of quality furnaces, cooking appliances and water heaters are among the most highly respected gas appliances in the industry.


On November 13th, 2012 the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a Final Rule pursuant to Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Rule requires businesses that file with the SEC and manufacturing products that require Conflict Minerals for their production or functionality to file a report with the SEC which includes, along with other information, measures taken to exercise “due diligence” regarding the source and chain of custody of all such minerals. Conflict Minerals include the following: gold, tantalum, tin and tungsten, or any other mineral or its derivatives determined by the U.S. Secretary of State to directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country.
