Dayton, TN: Airxcel, Inc.-Suburban Division recognized Jesse Fine for his 55th year of service with the company. “We celebrate many employee milestones at Suburban, but Jesse is the first employee to reach 55 years” said Art Klee, President of Airxcel, Inc. - Suburban Division. “He is also our company historian as he started with the company when the company’s name changed from the Hunt Heater Company to Suburban.”

Over the 55 years of service, Fine (who is known as Peanut by his coworkers) has seen many changes in the facility, the products manufactured and the industries marketed to by Suburban. “When I started here the hourly wage at Suburban was $1.10 per hour” said Fine. When asked about what’s on the horizon for him, he replied “what’s the use in leaving if you’re satisfied. If I wasn’t working here, I’d be working somewhere else!”

Fine was presented with an engraved wrist watch to commemorate his 55 years of service with Suburban. There is also a plaque permanently displayed in the company lobby honoring Fine’s achievement along with other plaques honoring employees who have celebrated 30 and 40 years with Suburban.
